PBB Unlimited: Save Carlo Romero

Carlo Romero from Skokie, Illinois  is a housemate on the TV show Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) , a Philippine show franchised from the world wide hit TV series Big Brother of Endemol. He was not really one of the official housemates, it was just by chance that his number was picked during the opening of the PBB and viola he became the mole of  “Kuya” then later on chosen by the rest of the housemates to become an official housemate. He is a Filipino-American, pure Pinoy blood but already an American citizen. What I noticed about him during the opening of the PBB was the oiliness on his face when he was interviewed . I thought that this guy needs some powder or a hanky to wipe those “oil.” He was not my fave. But things change when I really started to watch this show. I watch sometimes the 24/7 live streaming where you can see the housemates act without the staff of the show doing the editing and it is here that I became a fan of him.

He may be your typical Amboy, but he is really a nice guy. A gentleman although a bit flirty when tipsy just like the rest of the male race. He does good work inside the house, a very good leader, really concern about his housemates and has a good heart. However, lately I really don’t like the way those editors of the show did to his “character.” For me, he somewhat became a player which I think he is not. The PBB staff wants him and Wendy to be a “love team” but I don’t buy this because Wendy has a boyfriend outside of the house. Yes, they look good on their Tango task. But personally, I really don’t like Wendy. How can a girl with a boyfriend flirts with a fellow housemate, kiss him and act proprietorial on him?  It’s just off for me. I think  Wendy did develop a huge crush on Carlo even though she has a boyfriend. I can see that Carlo is not making those first moves.  He believes in karma and according to him he is not a home wrecker. But for ratings sake, the show is pursuing this. A little controversy can boost those ratings.

And this week, both Carlo and Wendy are nominated. I just hope that he will not be eliminated and his fans will try to save and vote for him. His team needs him.
